A Bit About Jaidyn
Jaidyn grew up in Port Macquarie where he was heavily involved in sport from a young age. He competed in athletics, surf life saving, hockey and touch football, developing a strong appreciation for performance, injury management and staying active.
Throughout his teenage years, Jaidyn experienced recurrent injuries which meant he spent a lot of time around physiotherapists. This ultimately sparked his interest in the profession and shaped his goal of helping others stay fit, healthy and performing at their best.
Sports & Hobbies
Jaidyn has achieved multiple state titles in surf life saving, competed at state level in athletics, and represented Port Macquarie in both hockey and touch football. He also played junior regional touch football for the Northern Eagles.
Although COVID and recurring injuries limited his competitive sport for a period, Jaidyn has continued to stay active since moving to Newcastle, playing social hockey and touch football.
Outside of work, Jaidyn enjoys training in the gym, running, playing tennis, squash, basketball and spending time with friends. You’ll often find him on a weekend trip away, at a live music event or planning his next travel adventure.
Career
Jaidyn pursued Physiotherapy after experiencing firsthand the impact injuries can have on both performance and general wellbeing. Having spent years as a patient himself, he understands how important it is to feel heard, supported and guided through the rehab process.
During university, Jaidyn worked as a Residential Sports Coordinator, where he was involved in organising and implementing sporting activities within the university community. This further strengthened his passion for keeping people active and connected through movement.
Jaidyn strives to help his patients build resilience, improve performance and return to the activities they enjoy with confidence.
Testing
Like all of our Physiotherapists at Next Gen, Jaidyn uses the AxIT System from Strength By Numbers to gather objective strength data. This allows him to assess symmetry, identify deficits and compare your results to expected normative values, helping guide rehab decisions with clarity and precision.
Imaging
As with all Physios at Next Gen Physio, Jaidyn can refer you for scans such as X-ray, Ultrasound and MRI when clinically appropriate. In some cases, referral through a specialist may be recommended for expert interpretation.
